COUNSELING

Persistent PTSD symptoms in a significant subset of parents suggest that short-term coping isn’t enough for many families — and that targeted mental health support can be essential for recovery and long-term functioning.

The statistics shared throughout our website are based on research and data collected from national health organizations, including the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as peer-reviewed medical and public health studies.  These sources provide the most current and reliable insights into premature birth, NICU admissions, and the challenges faced by families.

Untreated Trauma

The untreated trauma can lead to ongoing stress, extreme overprotective parenting styles, potential impacts on both parent and child attachment and overall the family well-being.
